On 3 February 2016, the UIC Security Division will hold a one-day workshop about effective and innovative strategies to manage graffiti vandalism in railway transportation networks including railway stations. The workshop will be held in Paris at UIC Headquarters.
This dissemination action is organised in the context of the European research project “Graffolution” (www.project.graffolution.eu). Graffolution is a two-year EU FP7 collaborative research project seeking to decrease graffiti vandalism in public areas and transportation networks by focusing on smart awareness and positive prevention solutions for all affected stakeholder groups. The project has delivered notable inputs from an extensive literature review focusing on the extent of illegal graffiti in Europe with specific concentration on public areas and transport.
During this workshop, the Graffolution partners will present the most important results from the project, as well as the final outcome of the project: the Graffolution Platform. This platform includes an Open Information Hub (OIH), a Collaborative Knowledge Base (CKB), a resource pool and a toolbox which allows end-users to find the most adapted intervention strategy. The Graffolution consortium members will also use this opportunity to collect feedback and inputs from the workshop participants.
