The final Modus dissemination workshop will be held online on 27 January 2023.

Launched in 2020, the European SESAR-H2020 “Modus” project explored the outlook of multimodal air-rail travel with a series of future scenarios, and is now delighted to share the outcomes from this multidisciplinary group of air, rail and academic experts.

Modus set out to model and assess the role of air transport in an integrated, multimodal transport system, with a focus on joint air-rail mobility. This approach allows for a better understanding of travellers’ needs and how air or rail is chosen, as well as models being developed and implemented to better depict door-to-door passenger journeys in different future mobility scenarios.

Policy makers and transport service providers can therefore receive support in shaping future multimodal mobility.
