UIC Talent and Expertise Development Unit is launching the call for applications to organise the 7th World Congress on Rail Training in Autumn 2024

The World Congress on Rail Training (WCRT) is organised every two years at the initiative of the UIC Talent & Expertise Development Platform, which draws its knowledge from the regional UIC Rail Training Centre Networks. Its main purpose is to enhance workforce development through sharing rail training best practices across the entire industry.

The congress is an important event for academic and rail training institutions and is aimed at human resources professionals, training experts, executives, and educational and vocational rail institutions.

The aims of the WCRT are to:

  • Promote excellence in railway training through best practice models
  • Highlight research findings which have practical applications in the industry and increase innovation
  • Identify new challenges for training and training technology
  • Provide a unique opportunity to share knowledge and experience amongst training professionals and managers

UIC Talent and Expertise Development Unit is launching a call for applications to organise the 7th World Congress on Rail Training in Autumn 2024.

The past six WRCTs, which were organised in Madrid, St Pölten/Vienna, Lisbon, Berlin/Potsdam, Rabat and Paris respectively, were very successful with an average attendance of 200 delegates from about 30 countries across the 5 continents.
