This joint final event will be the opportunity to present the results achieved in the projects and to discuss how these results may improve the energy consumption of rail systems in the future and advance the state-of-the-art in noise modelling.

The FINE 1 project (https://projects.shift2rail.org/s2r_ipcc_n.aspx?p=FINE%201) aims to reduce operational costs of railways by a reduction of energy use and noise related to rail traffic. The project results will enhance the attractiveness of railways in relation to other modes of transport. The focus is the development of practical and standardised methodologies for prediction of noise and vibration performance and energy consumption at system and vehicle level.

The OPEUS project (http://www.opeus-project.eu/), in which UIC is in charge of the dissemination, aims to develop a simulation methodology and accompanying modelling tool to evaluate, improve and optimise the energy consumption of rail systems with a particular focus on in-vehicle innovation.

Don’t miss out on this important event and register now!

The agenda and practical information will follow beginning of September!

Please note that registration is open until Friday, 11 October 2019!

Looking forward to seeing you in Paris!
